S&D as a unit is responsible for driving the distribution and sales of MTN products and services at the last mile. The distribution chain and the Salesforce that drive availability within the trade channels constitute the ecosystem of S&D To drive excellent execution and ensure the ecosystem continues to grow stronger the sales conference is used as a converging platform that draws together the entire Salesforce and partners to prepare and charge up the team for the task ahead
3 Days
DAY 1
The arrival party for the 2020 Sales Conference was themed Digit’Al Party where the S&D team had an unforgettable experience at the Lagos Continental Hotel Terrace. The dress code for the event was black and white, and also the ambiance.
Set up and suppliers arrival was concluded before time Space allocation for equipment and vendors aligned according to floor plan All event elements were set on arrival of guests Foot traffic in and out of the venue was well managed
Event flow was altered against the approved event flow which affected some elements like guest act performance
DAY 2
The day 2 party was themed Afrogidi Party. It a party aimed to engage both Trade Partners and the S&D team to experience the other side of Lagos within the walls of Baywater Gardens. The dress code was themed Ankara.
Set up and suppliers arrival was concluded before time Space allocation for equipment and vendors aligned according to floor plan All event elements were set on arrival of guests Foot traffic in and out of the venue was well managed The mock Yhellonaira notes aided the event theme as it would have been difficult for guests to use real currency during the event
Event flow was altered against the approved event flow which affected some elements like guest act performance Some elements featured which the agency team were unaware of
DAY 3
Day 3 was the awards night, it was themed Gala Night, A Night Of Bling. It also had a touch of James Bond 007. It was a party to wrap up the sales conference. The S&D and the Trade Partners received awards for the hardwork in the previous year. 2face Idibia also graced the occasion.
Approvals was timely Venue Décor was achieved Communication (internal and external) Security team were on ground Production team to capture moments Attendance: expected vs. actual attendance Guest act appealed to invited guest
Rehearsal time; the award presentation hosts had very little time to rehearse as they had to be at the review sessions Venue placed certain limitations on decor, hence decor took longer hours
